World Kindness Day – Saturday November 13th.

Kindness, the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. Simple actions, that impact not only our emotional health, but those feel-good vibes you get from both giving and receiving acts of kindness, have uplifting and powerful science behind the lasting effects. Science shows that humans are naturally hardwired to be compassionate and caring individuals.
Dr. Dacher Keltner Ph.D, professor of psychology at University of California, Berkley and founding director of the Greater Good Science Centre, found that multiple parts of the brain are activated by kindness and compassion including the Periaqueductal gray, which functions include analgesia, fear, anxiety, cardiovascular control, depression and vocalization. Kindness can put the body into a state where it can repair, regenerate and relax. Studies have proven that kindness and compassion increase mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, adding longevity to your life and your relationships.
